A 75-year-old woman died in Rajasthan’s Dholpur district after 11 family members developed suspected food poisoning from consuming leftover paneer curry served at a birthday party.
The incident began on July 7, when a birthday celebration was held in Lula Ka Pura village. Leftover food from the event was eaten the following day, after which family members reported symptoms including vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain.
Food poisoning symptoms and hospitalizations
On July 9, all 11 affected individuals—Raunak, Seema, Pinki, Poonam, Anushka, Triveni, Sunita, Lucky, Nitin, Satish, and Pancham Singh—were admitted to the district hospital. Triveni, the 75-year-old, died during treatment on July 12, 2026.
District Hospital PMO Dr. Samarveer Singh confirmed the patients were admitted with complaints of abdominal pain, vomiting, and diarrhea after consuming the paneer curry. A post-mortem examination is underway to determine the exact cause.
