The Enforcement Directorate (ED) questioned television host Shefali Bagga at its Raipur office on Thursday as part of its probe into the Mahadev online betting app case. The agency is examining her alleged role in promoting illegal betting platforms and her ties to accused operators.

Shefali Bagga’s alleged links to Mahadev network

Bagga, a former Bigg Boss 13 contestant and TV presenter, is under scrutiny for her suspected involvement in endorsing betting apps linked to the Mahadev network. Investigators claim she may have shared promotional content and betting tips via her Telegram channel.

Officials allege Bagga is a close associate of Khanjan Jagdish Kumar Thakkar, a key figure accused of running and promoting betting apps in India. Thakkar is also suspected of being a hawala operator for Mahadev Online Book, handling financial transactions tied to the syndicate.

ED’s ongoing investigation into illegal betting

The ED has conducted searches at Bagga’s premises and is analyzing digital evidence to determine her role. The Mahadev case is one of India’s largest probes into alleged illegal betting and money laundering, with multiple celebrities and influencers under investigation.

The agency will continue questioning Bagga while reviewing seized material to assess potential legal action. The probe remains active, with further developments expected as evidence is examined.
