A 22-year-old woman in Himachal Pradesh’s Una district was injured with a saw after intervening when her brother verbally abused their mother, police said. The incident occurred in Dulehar village on Friday morning.
Attack on sister and family members
The woman was brushing her teeth at around 7 am when her brother began abusing their mother, according to her complaint. When she asked him to stop, he allegedly took offense, picked up a saw, and attacked her, causing a severe injury near her ear.
Her grandmother and uncle were also assaulted when they tried to intervene, police stated. Neighbors later took the injured woman to the Community Health Centre in Dulaihar, where doctors recommended an X-ray and head scan for potential internal injuries.
