The ICC Hall of Fame welcomes three new legends: Sourav Ganguly, Kevin Pietersen, and Anjum Chopra. The trio’s induction was confirmed on July 11, capping off a week of celebrations after Ganguly announced his honor on his 54th birthday.

Sourav Ganguly: India’s Fearless Leader

Ganguly’s career was pure class. 113 Tests, 311 ODIs, 18,000+ runs, and 132 wickets with his medium pace. But it was his leadership that defined an era. Under Dada, India reached the 2003 World Cup final, toppled Australia in 2001, and claimed a historic series win in Pakistan in 2004. His 21 Test wins as captain stood tall until Dhoni and Kohli surpassed him.

“I am honoured to be inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame. To have my name included among cricket's greatest players will remain one of my most cherished moments,” Ganguly said.

Kevin Pietersen: England’s Flamboyant Match-Winner

Pietersen burst onto the scene in 2005, turning the Ashes on its head. 104 Tests, 136 ODIs, 37 T20Is—over 14,000 runs and a brief stint as England captain. His swagger fueled England’s 2010 T20 World Cup triumph and an away Ashes win later that year.

Anjum Chopra: India’s Women’s Cricket Pioneer

Chopra shattered glass ceilings. First Indian woman to play 100 ODIs and score 1000 runs in the format. 127 ODIs, 2458 runs, 12 Tests, 18 T20Is. She led India to their first overseas Test win in South Africa (2002) and was part of the 2005 ODI World Cup final squad.

“This honour is an award for all those who have helped shape my career. I am delighted to be inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame,” Chopra said.

The trio’s induction brings the ICC Hall of Fame’s total to 125 members.
