A fresh twist has emerged in the Jaipur murder case involving Neeraj Sharma, with her brother Rakesh Sharma alleging that her 23-year-old daughter, Ayushi Sharma, may have played a role in the death of her father, Vijay Sharma, in 2025.

Ayushi Sharma, already under arrest for the alleged murder of her mother, is accused of orchestrating the crime with her cousin Balram alias Ravi, who remains at large. Police state the murder was staged as a road accident in Jaipur’s Pratap Nagar on July 3.

Allegations Over Vijay Sharma’s Death

Rakesh Sharma, Vijay’s brother, claims Vijay—a Court Master at the Rajasthan High Court—was recovering from illness when Ayushi allegedly withheld proper medical treatment. He alleges Ayushi and Balram took Vijay to an undisclosed location for nearly three months, later admitting him to Nivik Hospital in Jaipur, where doctors reportedly found severe damage to 90% of his body.

Vijay was then taken home, where he died. Rakesh further claims Ayushi and Balram conducted the last rites in their native village and subsequently pushed for control of the family’s assets and Vijay’s government job.

Motive and Police Investigation

Investigators describe Ayushi, a final-year LLB student, as legally aware and calculating. She allegedly confessed to resentment toward her mother, citing favoritism toward her differently-abled brother and disputes over property as motives. Police also note a prior threat Ayushi made to her mother, referencing her father’s death.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Ranjita Sharma confirmed that Balram remains absconding. Authorities are examining Rakesh’s allegations about Vijay’s death, which may lead to additional charges or a separate case. Seven people, including Ayushi, have been arrested in connection with Neeraj Sharma’s murder.
