Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das will miss the remaining Zimbabwe ODIs after failing to recover from a hamstring injury, the BCB confirmed. Left-hand batsman Parvez Hossain Emon has been called up as his replacement.

Litton Das injury forces Bangladesh reshuffle

Das, who sat out the first ODI, underwent a fitness test in Harare but was deemed unfit for the series decider. Bangladesh trail 0-1 in the three-match series, with the second and third ODIs scheduled for July 9 and 11 in Harare.

Team physio Bayjedul Islam Khan stated: "Litton is still not match-fit. With back-to-back games, we can't risk his recovery." The injury also rules Das out of the upcoming T20I series against Zimbabwe, as he prepares for the Lanka Premier League.

Parvez Emon steps in for Zimbabwe ODIs

Emon, a 25-year-old left-hander, gets his chance to shine in the absence of Das. The youngster will aim to help Bangladesh bounce back after their opening loss to Zimbabwe.

  • Series status: Zimbabwe lead 1-0
  • Next ODI: July 9, Harare
  • Final ODI: July 11, Harare

Bangladesh now face a must-win situation to keep the series alive. Can Emon deliver under pressure? The stage is set for a thrilling comeback.
