The chief minister, addressing a Cabinet meeting at the Secretariat, directed all departments to ensure public services are delivered without bribery. He stated that corruption would not be tolerated at any level, emphasizing that disciplinary action would apply regardless of position.

“I did not come here just for a five-year tenure. People have reposed their faith in us, and we must live up to their expectations,” Vijay was quoted as saying by Times of India, stressing that clean governance must be reflected in action.

How to Report Bribery in Tamil Nadu

Citizens can file complaints via a WhatsApp helpline at 94981 80936, providing details such as the government office, official involved, date, location, and supporting evidence like photos or videos. Complaints can also be submitted to the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) via phone, email, or in person at its Chennai office.

All complaints received through the WhatsApp number will be verified before action is taken, officials confirmed.

Vijay also directed ministers to enforce a ban on filming and sharing social media reels in educational institutions. The order follows criticism over videos reportedly filmed on campuses involving members of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).
